- Advised an English listed company regarding the establishment of two coal-fired, mine-mouth power projects in Thar, Pakistan, with capacities of 300 MW and 150 MW, respectively.
- Regularly advised on the Sindh Mining Concession Rules, 2002.
- Conducted legal due diligence on proposed mining and power projects across Pakistan.
- Acted as legal counsel for Tethyan Copper Company Limited (originally listed on the ASX and later acquired by Antofagasta PLC and Barrick Gold Corporation) and Tethyan Copper Company (Pakistan) (Private) Limited, in relation to a major gold and copper mining project in Balochistan, Pakistan.
- Advised on the Balochistan Mining Concession Rules, 2002, as well as corporate matters and foreign investment.
- Provided legal guidance on the drafting and negotiation of a Mineral Agreement with Federal and Provincial Authorities, as well as a Joint Venture Agreement between foreign investor and the Provincial Government.
- Advised shareholders on takeover bids by Skafel Pty and later by Antofagasta PLC and Barrick Gold Corporation for the acquisition of Tethyan Copper Company Limited.
- Acted as Pakistan counsel to BHP Billiton and BHP Minerals International Exploration Inc. in litigation before the High Court and Supreme Court, concerning concession grants, exploration, and prospecting licenses.
